Bumibilog na naman ako so I need to keep up. I was sorta in a hibernation this holiday season, getting ready for my upcoming holiday trip so I wasn't moving a lot. A few yoga and some jogging wouldn't hurt to keep the fats regulated hehe..

I wonder if I can do these poses in Shinjuku Gyoen in Tokyo with less than 10 degrees cold..

A Yoga Pose To Help You Destress

It's been so stressful lately in the office because it is 'peak' season. My work requires me to sit all day facing the computer and finish the tasks at hand. A lot of times I miss my breaks or if not, have my lunch late. Times like this, I go to the wash room or some open space and do a few quick forward bends, or if possible (if no one is around), my favorite de-stressing pose, the downward facing dog pose, shown below.

What I notice everytime I do this pose is that it seems like it puts your blood circulation back to its normal flow, I instantly feel roelaxed after doing this. Plus, your muscles (and bones, probably) get a good stretch, too! So who would need a gym and the machines if one knows these basics? :)

Have a nice day!

Yoga For A Beautiful You

A photo of me and a friend at Magalawa Island, Zambales

Thanks to yoga, I am able to maintain my body without working out in a gym. I tried enrolling a few times for a gym membership in the past, but since they're a bit costly and I'm always so busy I hardly have extra time, I finally stopped and just resorted to exercising at home, particularly, yoga.

I already have yoga background so I basically know the "drill" or the basics of poses, since my aunt taught yoga lessons in my elementary years. Because of that, it's been very easy to me to do it at home, thanks to my friend who copied me a yoga dvd. And what I can say now that I'm doing it for more than six months, I noticed that my belly area is firmer even though I only do it once or twice a week. Now that is something to blog about! :)

And at this point, I can say that I'm already an intermediate yogini. Good job to me haha! So I would like to share with you a very special pose, the plank pose. See picture from yogajournal.com:
