How Often Should We Use Body Scrub
Body scrub is very important especially when we age and no longer in our teen years. It helps our body exfoliate and remove the dead skin cells that the body sheds every minute. Dead skin cells not removed and stuck in our skin and pores results in uneven skin tone, rough and dull skin. So we can actually skip a spa or two, skip that back-cleaning etc. if we exfoliate often.
I've got this body polish from The Body Shop on sale last week. I've tested this kind already, the strawberry variant, and it's a mild scrub you can use even daily. However, if you use salt as body scrub or the like, meaning with larger grains, you might want to do it one to two times a week only. As if you over-exfoliate, it may leave your skin dry and sensitive.
For an even greater result, you can also do dry brushing first before your body scrub in the shower. If you
haven't heard of it yet, I actually featured it in a previous post - click here.
Another important thing you should remember is, when you do body scrub, you should moisturize your skin after bath using a lotion or body oil, better if you use a product with a sunscreen because exfoliating reveals new skin which can be sensitive at first. Just like after doing a facial, there is such thing as post-facial care :)

I love body scrubs. Just can't do it as often as I want to. I'm always in a hurry in the shower.
I remember the time when I used to write for a company that manufactures beauty products; I used to write about these tips. Thanks for sharing!
Great tips! I like body scrubs but I don't use them daily. :-)
Happy New Year!

i really want to use exfoliation products but iv been banned from it by my derma because of my allergies, which is worst now that im pregnant... probably after birth i would try if my skin would lessen being sensitive hehe :D
I love body scrubs! I love them better though when I get it from the spa. :D I've never tried pomegrenate variants from Body Shop. I've always stuck to Strawberry and Moringa.
I honestly dont use body scrub.. I shall start using this real soon... thanks for the tips
So how often in a week, or in a month is recommended?
Wow! Pomegranate can also be made into a product such as this one? I just started eating fresh pomegranate here in the Middle East. It tastes great. :)
I am using L'Occitane's shea butter ultra rich body scrub. it's so nice and it leaves my skin so soft after every use. I scrub thrice a week.It relaxes my tired body.
note to self -- exfoliate my body. i only exfoliate my face regularly. hehehe
Thanks for sharing this. I do it every other day so that's MWF :D I want to try that scrub from TBS too :)
I use salt and milk as a body scrub and I do it in the comfort of my own home. Those are great tips. Thanks for sharing. :-)
I love body wash. When I was single, I tried body scrubs. I like The Body Shop products, received some a long time ago. Their body scrub must be really great.
I like this pomegranate variant, I\ve used it before, as well as the strawberry one. They smell reallllyyyyyy nice :)
Oh, I have heard about dry brushing. It sounds tedious though. The deal is that I am lazy when ti comes to moisturizing so I buy bath products with moisturizers. HA!
Yes, how often? Once a month? I must try dry brushing, though!
I bet that's soo nice sis, as L'Occitane is pretty expensive :)
1-2 a week only :)
I use salt and milk too llike once a month as I think salt is a little harsher to my skin
1 to 2x a week is what's recommended :)
Nice tips sis. You are right, moisturizer should be applied para hindi din magdry. Feeling ko kasi scrubbing, nababanat un skin ko. hehe
I love to scrub my skin but I have the most sensitive skin. Living in a place with cold, dry weather doesnt help. Oh, i love bodyshop's scrubs. they smell sooo good
