Have you hit the running plateau?

On Hitting The Plateau And How adidas Energy Boost Has Changed My Running Forever

When it comes to fitness, hitting the plateau is very common, and this is I think the most common cause of boredom or fitness rut. Remember the first time you ever run, either alone or with a buddy, you were so excited and able to reach your running goals. But perhaps at some point for sure, you just suddenly stopped running. And then maybe after four to six months, you started running again and hitting the plateau once more. A plateau is a state when you get accustomed to the same routine over and over and you're not improving anymore, and this more often than not, you can actually feel, and it usually comes with a feeling of dissatisfaction. You will need some BOOST in order to fix this problem.

You need to first assess yourself,  ask yourself if you're running because you want to lose weight or you just simply want to be healthy. You may need to change up your routines, do intervals, uphill run, or cross-training, and all this depends on what your goal is.

Then, you need to assess your nutrition. Maybe you need to adjust your meals, increase your intake probably. For example, when I was in Gold's Gym, I came to a point where I'd become even more thinner when I wasn't actually wanting to lose weight in the first place. My goal of going to the gym is to tone my
body, tone my muscles, but ended up losing my muscles! Why? Because hitting the plateau also means your body gets used to the amount of food you take so once you increase your workout, it does not only burn the fat but also the muscles underneath it. Solution for this is, increase my meal intake.

Plus, don't be afraid of the carbs as they give you more energy before you run. Peanut butter and bread is my favorite pick pre-workout.

Lastly, assess your workout gear, your clothes and importantly, your running shoes. Hitting the plateau is sometimes the result of non-improvement because of hindrances and most of the time, it's because of inappropriate or uncomfortable gear. Is your pair of running shoes the right one? Does it deliver to your expectations?

In my case, I had a pair of shoes that is very heavy, heavier than the normal shoes. It was supposed to be for toning purposes, a product line that promises you to tone your legs and so forth. But running for a long time in it is very painful. Have you experienced this, too? But that was all in the past. Good news is that adidas has revolutionized running.

I may have hit the plateau several times but adidas Energy Boost have definitely changed my running forever. With adidas Energy Boost, no more plateaus! Here's why:

I need an energy boost! Maybe it's about time I hit the tracks and run again.

I haven't reached the plateau because I haven't been running lately. I have yet to gear up again and go back to that activity which admittedly really helped in bringing my (over)weight down. :)

Oh, I need running shoes because I just started exercising. It is easier to move about in rubber shoes.

I have plateaued in my weight loss. I can't seem to lose that last 3-5 pounds. Been trying different combinations to jumpstart it. Maybe I should try running next.

I'm a fan of Adidas. But I don't think I can do the running. I'm totally obese, and will be out of breath before I start.
